About the event
This beginner friendly workshop focuses on an important building block for shibari tying patterns--Munter hitches. Once you understand how these work, you'll begin to recognize them throughout a wide variety of ties and harnesses.
In this class, we'll break down the mechanics of the Munter hitch before putting it into practice in several different contexts. Class will begin with a warm up/review of single column ties. Students will then learn and practice Munter hitches by incorporating them into a variety of upper and lower body patterns.
You'll also learn tips for rope handling and have the opportunity to ask questions and receive individualized feedback.
By focusing on a single core technique across multiple applications, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of how tying patterns are constructed, not just how to memorize them. Whether you're new to shibari or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, this class will give you practical skills…
