About the event
Shibari is a lot like building blocks–once you’ve learned and mastered the fundamental frictions, hitches, and knots, countless new possibilities unfold. Whether you’re brand new to rope or looking for a refresher on the basics, this class will prepare you to follow more complex patterns or even create your own.
These techniques allow you to change the direction of your rope, lock it in place, isolate tension, solidify the shape you’re creating, and more. Even the most intricate ties are built from these essential frictions.
You’re welcome to come with a partner or self tie. Please note that if you come as a tying pair, each participant will need their own ticket.
SUPPLIES: Yoga mat, safety shears, and at least two hanks of rope. Extras will be available if you don't have them.
