About the event
This is the second class in a new series that focuses on not just the hows of good rope play, but on the whys as well. Whether you are newer to rope or have been tying/getting tied for years, expect to come away with new tools and a better understanding of your rope from both sides.
Through a combination of technical instruction and hands-on time, we will be using a traditional hishi (diamond) tie as a container to explore fitting ties to the individual body (and not the other way around!), efficient rope handling, creating structure with hitches and frictions, building progressive tension, safety considerations, and creative applications and adaptations. If there is time and interest, we will also cover how to apply these skills to building rope webs and improvisational nets.
